Obituary for SSgt.Thomas Michael McGraw

Staff Sergeant, 15th Army Air Forces, 449th Bomb Group, 716th Bomb Squadron. SSgt. McGraw was killed in action in World War II on February 28, 1945 off the coast of Italy, and is now ending a 72 year journey home. He is the cherished son of the late Thomas and Nora (nee Kilcoyne) McGraw, and the dear brother of the late: Helen Corbett, John, Ann Fox, Joe, Gene, Bill, Jim, and Michael. His legacy spans to a sixth generation as he is a beloved uncle, great-uncle, great-great uncle, and great-great-great uncle. SSgt. McGraw’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at his home parish; St. Clement Church(14401 Madison Ave., Lakewood, OH 44107) on Friday, September 22nd at 10:00am. Interment is private at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman,OH. FRIENDS MAY CALL IN THE McGORRAY-HANNA FUNERAL HOME of LAKEWOOD, 14133 DETROIT AVE., THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21st, FROM 5-8PM. A grateful family thanks the many individuals, organizations, and agencies that were committed to returning SSgt. McGraw to his family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you pray for the many POW/MIA families for resolution of their loved ones so they may experience the same joy as the McGraw-Kilcoyne family.
